Was up front and honest with me. I am thankful to be in the family and will continue to work with them.

My experience working with this investor is hot and cold. In some ways, his experience and network can be very valuable, however his temperament makes him very unpredictable and difficult to work with, especially when there are challenges. His bullheaded nature often sidelined important board discussions, which led to impulsive decisions that were ultimately harmful to the company. I’d highly encourage anyone thinking about taking money from this fund to keep there check size smaller as to not give them any influence in the company’s operations or find investors that are more founder friendly.

Charles is a savvy investor who has built a very strong reputation for himself and his founders. He's incredibly ethical, thoughtful and smart. The hardest part about working with Charles is getting his time and attention given the size of his portfolio. I wish he had more time to share so his founders could benefit from his help more.

Alex Davidov has been one of the more helpful VCs I've worked with. He's always there for his founders. He also has some of the sharpest feedback out there. He is interested in making long term bets on people, so even if your idea isn't well fleshed out yet, he'll talk through it with you.

Kevin Zhang is literally among the nicest and most helpful investors I've ever met. He's a really genuine and earnest person who wants to help founders and believes strongly in a non-zero sum world.

If you are doing anything in the commerce or b2b SaaS space FIND HIM and get him to invest. He blew up my inbox with introductions to people he knew very well who actually all had real intentions of buying a product in my category - I didn't believe it at first when he said he spent 4 years thinking about my product and category but he clearly did, and talked to all the big buyers, knew where we'd face friction and had a stable of folks ready to help. Before he even asked about investing he probably added $5M in ARR to my business. He proceeded to show up wildly over prepared to every board or informal meeting, and pushed us to execute at a higher level. Im thankful we had him.

Be careful with Mo. He's not entirely trustworthy and has a wide reputation for screwing with founders.

Dan is one of the most honest, humble & no-bull investors I’ve had the pleasure of working with. His background as an entrepreneur means he's respectful without being afraid to tell me I messed up. Hugely appreciative to have him in my corner.

We had one meeting with Scott in his office in Seattle. He arrived 15 mins late to the meeting. After few minutes of listening to our pitch he basically told us that we are not the right folks to do this. There are lot of other smart and intelligent folks working at Amazon and Microsoft whom he can "sponsor" to the exact thing and they would do a better job than us. He then received a phone call and stepped out of meeting for 10 minutes leaving us with his associate who actually heard us well. After he cam back from his phone call he then talked about how great he is and how he knows everyone in the market we were playing. Indirectly, he said we stop what we were doing and should quit. I am second time founder and have met 100+ investors for fund raising between my two startups. I have never ever had this kind of experience from any investor. Most investors are courteous and values your time. Being late is acceptable but telling us that there are smarter folks he knows to do the startup is arrogance. I have raised funding for both my startups. This time, we raised more than $12M in series A.

We believe that there are always two sides to every story and accountability goes both ways, so we want to allow for investors to respond to their own reviews. Please navigate to the link below to leave a reply.
